Rites Held Today
For Mrs. Kappedahl

Funeral services for Mrs. Knute (Sena) Kappedahl, 80, a former
resident of Fosston and Bagley, were held this afternoon at the
Union Lake Lutheran Church, rural Winger. The Rev. Harry C.
Molstre officiated.

Mrs. Kappedahl died Tuesday at a Minneapolis hospital. For
the past 17 years she had made her home in Minneapolis.

The former Sena Vangen was born Sept. 5, 1882 in
Cannon Falls, Minn. She lived in Garden Township for a short
time.

Survivors include six daughters:
Mrs. Charley (Josephine) Olson of Fertile,
Mrs. Earl (Bertha) Pool of Solway,
Mrs. Lillian Sherva of Maple Lake
Mrs. Adolph (Ellen) West
Mrs. Bonnie Pool and
Mrs. Joe (Esther) Bjorge, all of Minneapolis;

Three sisters:
Mrs. Sarah Kappedahl of Winger,
Mrs. Halvor (Ingebor) Lesetmoe of Bemidji and
Mrs. Alfred (Hannah) Mahlen of Williston, N.D.;

19 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Her husband died in 1940. She was also preceded in death by a
son, two daughters, three sisters and one brother.

Pall bearers were Victor Larson, Olaf Kappedahl,
Kenneth Omang, Marin Larson, Peter Bestul and Carl Oswald.

The Mattson-Snustad Funeral Home of Winger was in charge
of the arrangements.
