Rennee Heggen
| Rennee Patricia McKay Heggen, a
daughter of John and Patricia McKay Heggen, was born on November 21, 1981 at Watford City, North Dakota. she lived in Watford City until 1988 and then moved to Rolette and attended school there through the 6th grade. She then moved to Bottineau and attended school there through the 8th grade. She has since been living in Dunseith. While in school, Rennee participated in basketball, volleyball and track. She set school track records in the 300 and 400 hurdles. she was a Who's Who among American High School students. She received the National Merit Awards in Science and Literature. Rennee loved the outdoors and liked to spend time with her grandpa in the garden. She liked having her many friends and relatives over to snow ski, water ski and play hide-n-seek. She was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church in Dunseith and was active with the Dunseith Lutheran Youth Group. Rennee passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 1997 on arrival at a Minot hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She is survived by her mother at home, her father of Watford City; sisters: Marn Heggen of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Emily McKay Heggen of Dunseith, and Sarah Lewis of Arnegard, North Dakota; grandparents: Clifford and Alice McKay of Dunseith, and Bud and Ivy Heggen of Rawson, North Dakota; several cousins; she is also survived by her godparents, Joyce and Orin Moe of Watford City and Lynn and Dan McKay of Lidgerwood. |
