Mona Brevik

Mona was born February 22, 1929, at Williston, ND, the daughter of
George and Stella (Lind) Long. She was raised on the family farm near
Epping and was educated in rural country schools. She graduated from
Epping High School in 1947. Upon graduation, she attended Minot
State Teacher's College and taught school at Springbrook Elementary
School. She met Glenn Brevik and they married on July 27, 1950 at
Epping. They established their home on Glenn's family farm near
Blacktail Township where they lived until moving into Williston in the
summer of 2004.

Mona died at Deaconess Hosptial in Billings, MT on Saturday,
November 13, 2004.

Mona's greatest joy in life was her family. She was always willing to
step in and help in any way she could. She enjoyed gardening, sewing
and making quilts, especially for the babies born in her life. Mona was
an excellent cook and the more people she was cooking for, the more
she enjoyed it. She enjoyed her bridge club and beating family at
Pinochle. She was very active in her church circle, and her community.

She is survived by her husband, Glenn of Williston;
one son, David and his wife, Mary Lynn of Williston;
two daughters; Cynthia Buchholz and her husband, Jerry of Bismarck, ND
and Julie Husted and her husband, Carl of Colorado Springs, CO;
five grandchildren, Heidi (Seth) Coughlin and Jason (Tiffany) Brevik all of
Williston, ND;
Heather and Lindy Husted of Colorado Springs, CO and
Andrea Buchholz of Bismarck, ND;
and great great grandchild, Reagan Coughlin;
two sisters, Lois (Lloyd) Papineau of Epping and
Lyla (Floyd) Semenko of Williston and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents.
