| Lynn Romaine Allen was born December 9, 1932 in
Glasgow, Montana to Lee and Thelma (DuMars) Allen. She spent the first few years of her life with her family in Glasgow until they moved to Williston in the late 1930's. She was raised here, attended local schools and was graduated from Williston High School in the Class of 1950. She attended business college in Fargo and then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. While in the Air Force she attended college in Stillwater, Oklahoma for one year. She also served in Texas, California and then Japan. On January 10, 1954 she was united in marriage to Byron Haugen in Wolf Point, Montana. They established their home in Round Prairie Township and have lived there through these many succeeding years. Mrs. Haugen is survived by her husband, Byron, two daughters: Mrs. Melodie Nelson and her husband, Richard of rural Williston; Debra Haugen of Williston; three grandchildren, Rianna, Cindy and Eric Nelson, all of rural Williston and her mother, Thelma Allen of Williston. She was preceded in death by her father and two infant sons. Lynn was a member of the Round Prairie Lutheran Church where she had been a Sunday school teacher.
