Lorena M. Shores
A Washington Newspaper Clipping
January 26, 1920 - January 23, 2003

Lorena Margaret Shores, 82, of Raymond went to be with her Lord
on January 23, 2003 at her home in Raymond. Mrs. Shores
was born in Sherwood, North Dakota on January 26, 1920 to
Samuel and Magdalene (Johnson) Roberts. She grew up in Sherwood
and later married Lee Shores on April 27, 1940 in Sunburst, Montana.

Lee and Lorena moved to Washington in October of 1948 where they
raised four children. She was a homemaker who devoted her life and
love to her family, including her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was a faithful member of the Raymond First Baptist Church and a
shining example of God's love with all, but especially with children.
Some of her favorite activities included knitting, sewing, gardening,
crocheting, reading and volunteering in the community.

She is survived by her husband, Lee at the family home in Raymond;
two sons, Allen Shores of Aberdeen, David Shores of Raymond;
two daughters, Laura Steward of Olympia and Anita Laine of Raymond;
a brother, Wayman Roberts of Minot, North Dakota;
a sister, Sylvia Sears of Milton, Florida, nine grandchildren and nine
great grandchildren.

She was a devoted wife, a wonderful mother, and a great friend to many.
We are so thankful that she was a part of our lives and we will miss her
very much.

There will be a memorial service on Monday, Feb. 3 at 1:00 p.m. at the
Raymond First Baptist Church.

The family would like any memorials to go the Washington Talking Book
and Braille Library, 2021 9th Ave., Seattle, WA 98121-2783 in
Memory of Lorena.

Arrangements were in care of Stoller's Mortuary in Raymond.
