| Karen Corinne Lindsey was born June 28, 1952 at San
Haven, North Dakota, the daughter of Willis and Dorothy (Brunelle) Sylte. Karen was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Williston. Karen was raised on the family farm north of Williston and attended Twin Lake School until eighth grade and graduated from Williston High School in 1970. She graduated from Parks School of Business in Denver, Colorado in 1972, and moved to Billings, Montana and worked for a short time before returning to Williston. Karen was united in marriage to Dean Lindsey on November 8, 1975 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Williston. Karen first worked as a bookkeeper at Thomas Auto Supply, and then at Tony's Equipment and then took time off to raise their children before re-entering the job market doing a number of jobs including bridal consultant at Bride-To- Be, a cook at Garden Valley School for nine years, and as of late, a Blackjack dealer for Williston State College Gaming Foundation, and as clerk for Lindsey Bros. Auction Service, DK's Lounge, and H & H Electric. Karen was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, past member of Marmon Homemakers, and had been a 4-H leader for 15 years. Karen loved her family and helping others. She also liked doing crafts, sewing, reading, and most recently had taken up oil painting. . Karen is survived by her husband of 30 years, Dean, of Williston, ND; son Jeremy and his fiance Alicia Boehm, of Bismarck, ND; daughter Karmen, of Williston, ND; sister Nancy Keller and her husband Paul, of McCook, TX; brothers Ronald and his wife Ruby, of Williston, ND, Derald of Pleasantview, UT, Myron and his wife Judy, of Williston, ND, Curtis and his wife Phyllis, of Williston, ND, and Russell and his wife Dora, of Holland, MI; sister-in-law Cindy of Bismarck, ND; along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Preceding her in death were her grandparents, her mother in 1983, her father in 1985, and her brother Calvin in 2001. Arrangements: Fulkerson Funeral Home - Williston, North Dakota |
