| Julia Larson was born September 23, 1913 in
Northfield, Wisconsin, the daughter of Hans and Randi (Vindal) Larson. She was raised on the family farm in Wisconsin. she was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith and attended rural schools there. On February 5, 1932, she was united in marriage to Howard Heggen at Eau Claire, Wisconsin. They moved to Rawson, North Dakota, whee they farmed and raised their family. In 1949 they moved to Alexander where she has resided since. Julia was an active member of the Alexander Trinity Lutheran Church and enjoyed quilting with the Trinity Quilting Ladies. She enjoyed attending community and school events. Julia always welcomed family and friends with coffee and homemade "goodies". She had a loving concern for all of her family. She is survived by her husband; four children: Roberta and her husband Jerry Sawicki of Billings, Montana, Jerome and his wife Esther Heggen of Alexander, Adrienne Stepanek of Williston and Wanda and her husband Francis Monson of Williston, eleven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Howard Jerome Heggen and three brothers.
