Grace Bolken
Funeral Memoriam
March 6, 1919 - July 12, 1994

Grace Bolken was born March 6, 1919 in McKenzie County, ND
the daughter of Ernest G. and Anna (Ackerman) Anderson. She
attended McKenzie County grade school and graduated from
Williston High School in 1937. She was married to Joseph Syverson
who preceded her in death in August 1940. On June 5, 1949, she
married Clarence (Swede) Bolken at Alexander. Grace worked as a
bookkeeper for MDU for 19 years and then for West River Telephone
for 8 years. they moved to Hazen in 1964 and Grace became a resident
of the Beulah Community Nursing Home in 1992. She was a member
of English Lutheran Church, Hazen and had served as a
Girl Scout Leader.

She is survived by her husband, Clarence (Swede) Bolken of Hazen;
one daughter and son-in-law - Janice & Willard Borlaug of Hazen;
one sister and brother-in-law - Vera & Hillmar Bolken of Williston;
two brothers and sisters-in-law - Arlen & Dorothy Anderson and
Melvin & Dorothy Anderson all of Williston; five grandsons - Byron,
Kelly, Gary, Steven and Keith Borlaug;
one granddaughter - Donna Haugen;
9 great grandchildren - Jessica, Ryan, Jared, Erica, Shannon, Monica,
Kody, Ashley and Tanner Borlaug. She was preceded in death by her
parents, her first husband, Joseph Syverson, an infant son,
an infant brother, and her brother, David.

Interment:
Alexander Cemetery - Alexander, North Dakota
