Elvin Njos
Funeral Memoriam
January 11, 1914 - March 9, 2005

Elvin was born January 11, 1914 to Edward and Clara (Ellingson) Njos
on the family farm in Athens Township, Williams County, ND. He
attended Twin Lake School.

On May 29, 1937 he married Minnie Anderson in Sidney, MT. They
lived in Mount Vernon, WA for four months after their marriage, but
moved back to Williston where he worked for Standard Oil Co.
delivering gas to farms. In 1941 they bought a farm in Cow Creek
Township, where they lived for eight years. In 1949 they moved into
Williston, but continued to farm.

Elvin was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a
member of First Lutheran Church. Elvin dearly loved his family. He also
enjoyed horses, plowing, woodworking, boxing, playing cards, and
drinking coffee and exchanging jokes at the elevator.

Elvin is survived by his wife, Minnie Njos of Williston;
five sons: Darrell (Della) Njos of Bismarck, ND,
James Njos of Denver, CO,
David (Mary) Njos of Williston, ND,
Mike (Lea) Njos of Bellingham, WA, and
Mark (Sharon) Njos of Williston, ND;
two daughters: Bonita Ralph of Hot Springs, MT and
Shelly Bolinske of Dickinson, ND;
fifteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren,
and two great great grandchildren;
and two sisters-in-law, Elena Njos and Florence Norby.

Preceding him in death were his parents;
four brothers, Myron, Arnold, Omar and Lloyd Njos; and
one sister, Lucille Wickum.

Riverview Cemetery - Williston, North Dakota
