She was reared on a homestead in Round Prairie Township that her father, Alfred settled in 1904. She attended school at Round Prairie School. They homesteaded northeast of Bainville, where they farmed, raised cattle, pigs, sheep, chickens and Ella had a large garden. In 1987, after 50 years of marriage they moved to Williston. Ella was a loving, precious mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to everyone. She was known for having a great sense of humor and she filled her home with love and warmth that always welcomed everyone. Through her nourishing hugs and kisses, warm hand made quilts and the smells of homemade buns and delicious cooking she will be lovingly remembered. She was a woman of strong faith and the Rosary was her constant companion. She was a member of the Catholic Alter Society in both Bainville and Williston, and a member of TOPS. She loved baking, gardening, playing cards, dancing and special times with her family and friends. She is survived by four sons: Glenn and his wife, Anne of Great Falls, MT, Kenny of Sidney, MT, Neil of Williston, ND, and Greg of Sidney, MT, her four daughters: Marcella Ginnaty and her husband, Patrick of Lewistown, MT, Judy Ginnaty and her husband, Larry of Great Falls, MT, Janet Vannatta of Williston, ND, and Connie Nussbaum and her husband, Rich of Jefferson City, MO; 16 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren; four sisters, Florence Norby and Myrtle Cain of Williston, ND, Laura Hovland of Bremerton, WA and, Pearl (Penny) Berwick of Bainville, MT. A special thanks to Dr. Weins, the wonderful loving staff of Mercy Hospice, her caregiver, Shari, and her senior companion, Ellen, for their loving care and support. We are grateful for all the prayers and thoughtfulness shown to her and her family by her many friends and loved ones. "In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials be directed to Mercy Hospice or Bainville Dollars for Scholars." The Everson Funeral Home of Williston is caring for the family. |
