Funeral Memoriam
January 11, 1913 - March 2, 1999
| Ella Jussila went to her home in heaven on Tuesday,
March 2, 1999. Ella was born January 11, 1913 to Norwegian immigrants, Emil and Inga (Kleven) Ellingson on a farm near Temple, ND. Ella was educated at the Lincoln School and was baptized and confirmed at the St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Temple. She spent her early years on the farm, but moved into Williston during the depression. She worked for many years as a waitress at the Castle Cafe and as a clerk at J.C. Penneys. She married Elmer Jussila on June 11, 1951, and bore three children, one who died in childbirth. Elmer died on February 1, 1989. Ella remained in her own home until July of this past year when she became a resident of Bethel Home until the time of her death. Ella's hobbies were sewing, quilting and reading. She was an active member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. She leaves behind one son, Jeff Jussila and granddaughter, Kristen Jussila of Coeur d'Alene, ID; one daughter Anne Thorness and her husband, Steve and two grandsons, Mike and Daniel Thorness of Houston, TX; one sister, Gerdie Hillier of Burbank, CA; two nieces, Karen Schmidt and Marlene Binde of Williston; a nephew, Tom French of Rawlins, WY; and several other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Eldon, her brother, Elling Ellingson, and sisters Karen Ellingson and Chris French.
