| WILLISTON, ND - Mrs. Edna D. Arnstad, 83, a pioneer
Williams County resident of Round Prairie Township and a 25 year Williston resident of 514 University Ave., died early Tuesday morning, Feb 9, 1993, at Mercy Hospital in Williston. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, in West Prairie Lutheran Church, west of Williston. Intern Pastor Doug Locken and Pastor Martin Heide will officiate and burial will be in the Round Prairie Cemetery. Edna Dorothy Olson was born Feb. 10, 1909, to Paul and Lena (Satterlee) Olson on their homestead in Round Prairie Township. She was baptized and confirmed in the Round Prairie Lutheran Church and attended school in that community. She was united in marriage Feb. 11, 1929, to John G. Arnstad in Williston by his father, the Rev. P.G. Arnstad. They established their home in Round Prairie Township and lived there through the years, until Mr. Arnstad's passing on April 22, 1966. Mrs. Arnstad was a member of West Prairie Lutheran Church and a charter member of the West Prairie ELCW. Mrs. Arnstad is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Darryl (Jeannine) Cote, and one son, Jimmy Arnstad, both of Williston; five grandchildren: Pamela Jones, Cheryl Cote, Kelly Cote Thorstensen, Justin Arnstad and Tana Wilkens; three great grandchildren: John Michael, Dustin Lee Arnstad and Van Jones; three sisters: Mrs. Ralph (Mildred) Lohse of La Palma, CA; Mrs. Jens (Agnes) Braaten of Havre, MT and Mrs. Alfred (Luella) Frederickson of Leeds; and three brothers: Arvid Olson of Williston, Leon Olson of La Miranda, CA, and Elmer Olson of Yorba Linda, CA. Mrs. Arnstad was preceded in death by two sisters, Nora Nelson and Evelyn Olson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and until noon Saturday at the Everson Funeral Home in Williston and one hour before service time at the church Saturday. |
