Bernhart Braaten

WILLISTON, N.D. - Bernhart Braaten, 73, of 907 W. Broadway, Williston, died Monday,
May 18, 1987, at his home.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, May 21, in the West Prairie Lutheran Church,
rural Williston. Pastor Sandy Berg will officiate and burial will be in, the Round Prairie Lutheran
Cemetery, rural Williston.

Bernhart Braaten was born Aug. 9, 1913, at Upham, to Christ K. and Asta (Nilsen) Braaten.
He was reared and schooled in the Round Prairie area. He married Gloria Anseth
June 25, 1943, at Sidney, Montana. They resided on their farm in Round Prairie until
1961, when they moved to Williston, where Mr. Braaten was employed at the
Farmers Union Oil Company. He retired in 1982.

Mr. Braaten was a member of the Odd Fellows and the Moose Lodge, both of Williston.

Mr. Braaten is survived by his wife, Gloria; one son, Bruce of California;
one daughter, Bonnie Birdler of Ravendal, Wash.;
two grandchildren; two brothers, Lloyd of Round Prairie and Cliff of Shepherd, Mont.;
and one sister, Lorraine Drewry of Williston.

Mr. Braaten was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Elvin and Gary;
and one sister, Leona.

Fulkerson-Sletten Funeral Home of Williston is in charge of arrangements.

This individual is not a member of my family, but was a friend of the family.
