Funeral Memoriam
| ANNA MARIE, the daughter of Henry and Henrietta
Stubbe Dreier, was born Jan. 2, 1893, in Nettlingen,
Germany. She spent the early part of her life there and in 1906, at the age of 13, came to the Spring Brook community with her family where she completed her education. On June 1, 1910 she married Gustav A. Hiepler at the home of her family north of Spring Brook. Anna and Gustav were members of St. James Lutheran Church, Spring Brook. They were actively involved when their church was relocated and became a part of the present Upper Missouri Lutheran Bible Camp. Later the family became members of Epping Lutheran Church in Epping. After living for many years north of Spring Brook they moved to Williston in 1956, and became members of First Lutheran Church. In 1960 Gustav and Anna became charter members of Gloria Dei. Gustav died August 13, 1970. Anna was an active and faithful member of Gloria Dei congregation. She worked diligently with the ALCW and the Quilting Ladies. The Congregation is grateful to her and the family for the sanctuary piano and the chancel furnishings - altar, pulpit and lecturn given in loving memory of Gustav. Anna died Monday, November 8, 1982. She is survived by: four daughters - Mrs. Floyd (Hildegarde) Penfield of Williston, Mrs. Elroy (Ruth) Homuth of Annandale, Hinn., Mrs. Darryl (Marion) Bugge of Shelton, Wash., and Mrs. Duane (Shirley) Syverson of Epping; one son, the Rev. Dr. Orville G. Hiepler of Camarillo, Calif., 16 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Martha Brawner of Springfield, Ill. All of her children and their families dearly love the Lord and are active in His service. Mrs. Hiepler was preceded in death by her husband and daughter, Gertrude Bjella. |
